Niji’s colours
The brand leans toward a quirky side, giving users the opportunity to go crazy and wild with their choices to develop a sense of individuality through their belongings.
Hence, the colour palette is bright and combines together an array of bits and pieces, that are coherent together, as a whole.

Stickers & visuals
Since the Niji Store sources a major part of it’s fabrics as scrap pieces that boutiques would end up discarding, what we’re left with, is a plethora of options, patterns and combinations for a truly personalised product - which reflects in the visual elements and illustrations

How it started
During the pandemic, I taught myself sewing on an old sewing machine we had at home and started making pouches and small tote bags. My early cutomers were my family and friends. I used old pieces of cloth and scraps in my home to start off. This gave me the idea of other forms of storage like compartments, boxes, etc. that could be made with cloth as opposed to plastic.
I took this project up as a branding project, to develop brand strategy, nomenclature, design language and collaterals for ‘The Niji Store’.

Q. What does a brand that retails in personalised storage solutions look like?
In a market overflowing with plain standardised organisers, the Niji store helps you add more of yourself to your personal space, to make it organised in the way you want.
We source a major part of our fabrics as scrap pieces that boutiques or tailors would end up discarding. What we’re left with, is a plethora of options, patterns and combinations for a truly personalised product.
